Nice case but not at all functional. Modification definately required!!!
This case was designed to hold the Chauvet Obey 70 Light Controller which it does. And does well. Problem is, once you mount the Obey 70 in the case with the provided screws, the connections on the back of the Obey 70 are completely inaccessible. You cannot get the power cord to connect and the output for the DMX simply will not connect because of the distance between the edge of the case and plug surface on the Obey 70.
But because I am very handy with tools, I had to modify the angle of the mount inside the case. I took both mounts out of the case, increased the angle, re-drilled the mounting holes and the screw inserts and put the case back together. Fortunately there is still enough room in the lid after the angle was increased for it to work normally. Got luck on that...
I would have expected more thought be put into the design of the case than was. I really like mine after I fixed the design flaw. Good luck with yours. I would recommend this repair only to folks that are good with drills and tools.
Thanks.
