Cheap product with a lot of storage for the price
Great product, does seem like it may overheat at times (gets pretty hot), and the cord is kind of short (maybe a few inches 6-7?). Other than that it's great! Good value and gets the job done for the price. Plus for what I'm using it for (an Xbox) the 1 terabyte is enough and is very, very useful for the cheap price. Just tested 600gb out of the 931gb total (ordered 1tb but close enough I guess) because my experiences on ebay have not been good. You live and you learn I guess. I can keep testing to make 100% complete sure I get my money's worth but I'm satisfied so far, and it's from a legit company this time so I'll assume it's legit. So far so good, all of my files are working as they should, not the fastest speed in the world, but then again I've transferred 600gb just as a test in 1 day so it's more than enough I'll need, at least for the next 2 or 3 years. Overall, it's actually smaller than I imagined, fits right in the palm of my hand, is silent to the point where I don't hear it if my earphones are in with no music playing, and the light is pretty small but noticeable if I really want to notice that it's working.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

A pocket drive like this is an AWESOME way to backup an entire laptop hard drive!
This is a wonderful way to completely back up a laptop hard drive, especially if you can save a "disk image" copy of your laptop's hard drive. I looked for a fast, and inexpensive way to accomplish this task, and found this 1 terabyte pocket drive with a very fast USB 3 port, and a USB 3 to USB 2 adapter cable, compatible with my laptop to be just about ideal for this task. My laptop only has a 750 GB hard drive, so I know that literally every byte on my laptop's hard drive can be archived on one of these "pocket drives" with room to spare. And, unlike thumb drives, the reading and writing speed of these pocket hard drives is literally as fast as my laptop's USB port will go. If your laptop hard drive were to fail, how could you replace it with a new hard drive? That is why you need a "disk image" copy -- because it will back up EVERYTHING including your installed software and your operating system.
