I have used Yamaha mixers in the past, in particular your powered mixer and found them to be user friendly. I tried to go digital but find I like the versatility of analog mixing the best and this mixer is the best I've used. It can be used by the beginner as well as the seasoned pro sound engineer. Great Product , awesome sound
I broadcast on stream, and the sound that comes out is natural with default settings. Most other mixer I have used, I had to tweak allot. This is a pro grade mixer and if someone does not understand how to use a pro mixer, they might have a little learning curve as far as Monitors, grouping, aux to monitors and so on. The FX onboard are very good. Personally , I like the "ON" button for each channel so I can mute the channel. I also like the Grouping and ST routing per channel on a touch of a button.

Currently have used this on a few jobs at this time. The unit is an addition for handling medium sized jobs that we provide sound reinforcement and lighting. This is our fifth Yamaha mixer and so far it has been a great addition with just the right amount of additional channels. In the past we would have to use or larger 32-channel boards for some of our smaller venues that only need up to 12 channels. The MG XU16 is so far a rugged unit.
