SiriusXM SX300v1. My Thoughts.
I live in the DFW, Texas area and for the most part this unit has decent to above average sound quality. I have it hooked up to a Pioneer X1700s DVD Head Unit. Sometimes it loses the signal. Even when there are no obstruction in the sky above. Especially North of DFW Airport in Irving, Texas. I have also lost signal in Farmers Branch, Carrolton and of course sometimes when I am under an obstruction. Such as, a Car Wash, Bridge or Large Tree. The three months of free service provided I purchase 3 months does help. However, after that 6 month period, I don't no if the service will provide any additional value over my existing music collection.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy satellite radio for us all -
Right away I've noticed how much faster this new satellite tuner is able to lock on to stations. Music/news is very clear and full fidelity. The compact size allows many install options. I used a small patch of industrial velcro for a semi-perminent install. My new Kenwood stereo really talks satellite radio. First time using this model, big improvement over the 2 older ones I have in my other vehicles. No power wiring necessary, just plug it into the back of your stereo, and snap in the antenna plug. The 3 months free HAS NOT expired. I added this receiver to my account, and selected All Access 3 months free. When you are near the end of your free trial, just log onto your account and change it to the plan you`d like (I have the mostly music plan for $10.99 a month) Also, do not place the antenna inside your vehicle, the reception will be spotty.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works with my radio - acct. issues
Plugged in easily to my Pioneer radio, but beware of XM promos offered elsewhere... I accidentally signed up for a streaming only plan trial so couldn’t activate the radio. It took me two calls and one chat to finally get onto a car+streaming plan. It took longer to do that than to install the unit! It Works as expected!
It works Great I replaces an aftermarket SiriusXM receiver that required the radio being tuned to an open FM frequency I Live near The Mexico Border and the overpowered uncontrolled Mexican stations made it impossible to find an open FM frequency that worked for more than 5 or 10 miles.
