    Worth the extra money.

    I am not an audiophile by any descrition. The radio was the only thing changed in my truck. I am still getting used to it and exploring all its features. The BT interface is very fast and clean. Make sure to look up on youtube the secret menu so you will not have to try and hookup a defeat module on the emergency brake. The way Waze and Google maps are presented are really cool. I prefer Waze when using my phone for the screen. But have come to prefer Google Maps on the head unit. The larger screen makes all the options Google Maps gives you worth it. Android wireless all the way.

    I found varying prices on this head unit and found one in South Florida for $500 less than list price.     Fantastic upgrade from stock!!!

    When I got this ready I really wanted to make a major upgrade to my sound system. I'm more than a maze. Although awesome features of the ease of use. I would absolutely have to recommend this to other people if you want to be on The cutting edge and have the most features at your fingertips. The sound that you're able to get out of this stereo it's fantastic. And the wireless Android auto super cool!!!

    Awesome Head Unit

    100% happy with the Pioneer AVIC-8500NEX. It packs a ton of features and looks great in my F250. I added the Maestro RR2 with my install to keep the steering wheel controls active and access my vehicle data right from the display. Great purchase! I highly recommend it!

    Fantastic head unit for Android Auto!

    The head unit is awesome! The touch screen is very responsive. The maps load very fast and I was able to update to the latest maps for free. The downloaded maps are surprisingly good! I bought it mainly for wireless Android Auto, but after realizing how good the maps are, I may not have to use AA after all. Adroid Auto works fantastic and connects reasonably quick. The SD card slot is easily accessible.

    For the price I paid for this unit I was disappointed that the firmware wasn't updated. Some of the features didn't work with my iPhone, especially the mirroring feature which is one of the main reasons I bought it. Other than that I like the unit and I did get a good deal so can't complain so much.

    Best Aftermarket radio

    The best aftermarket radio period. Does anything and everything you could possibly want a radio to do. Completely wireless CarPlay for iPhone- use the idatalink maestro in newer cars for factory OEM feel- installed in 2011 gmc 2500HD. Looks and operates like it came OEM from the factory.     Great stereo
