After reading a CD review in our local Sunday entertainment Guide, I immediatly went to Ebay hoping to snag a lightly used disc. Just a few were listed that day, but all had bidding activity on them...a sure sign I'm not alone out there. And a pretty good indicator that the tunes must be good as well. I got a good price, under $10.00 with shipping and had the hot CD inmy hand in just a few days. I had never listened to any music by this guy, did I waste ten bucks? No way, I liked it from the beginning. VERY hard to pidgeon hole into a "type". Eric's vocals sounded familiar yet his style seemed fresh. At times, he reminds me vocally of Counting Crows, the music flows like Jack Johnson CD's, yet really does not sound a bit like Jack. The horns often upfront or in the background remind me of the 70's horn bands so popular after Chicago became huge. So what is it? I'ts GOOD. Buy it, slip it in the dash on your next hour drive, the time will fly. KDRead full review
Eric Lindell and his associates embodies a sound for me unlike any other. The Creole/Cajun blues tracks all lives and allows one to experience a fleeting dream.
