The video quality is excellent and installing the hardwire kit allows for 24/7 monitoring which can record a vandal in the act and/or a hit and run.

This is a really cool mirror. It records both front and rear cameras and the resolution is quite good actually. Only thing to keep in mind is if you're installing this in a full-sized truck the wire will not be long enough to go from the rear license plate up to the rear view mirror in the cab. I installed mine on a Ford Ranger and the wire was just barely long enough. I think they sell some extension cables.
