  • Excellent Card!

Ordered the card, came pretty fast. A little dusty but overall looks brand new. Hit it with a little dusty destroyer, plugged it in and it worked right out of the box. Best pc purchase I made in a long time. It's also very quiet.

  • Great for 1080p

pretty good card, I have a red devil RX 480 as a comparison point. The MSI Gaming X that I have received has an additional plate covering the vrms and other components on the board, which actually adds to the cooling capabilities of the card. As a result of that, the card actually runs cooler than my Red Devil. Both are RX 480s and so performance levels are very similar. I find with my particular Red Devil that you'll want to up the fan speed to maintain cooler temps and a more stable performance, with this card that's not necessary at all. It's definitely worth the buy and now at about half the price I originally paid for the other RX 480 it's actually a great buy. Basically you can get most games to run at 60 fps 1080p and anywhere between 40-200 fps if you have a high refresh rate monitor at 1080p. 40 may sound bad, but there's some certain games that exist that just don't run well on even high end hardware. Those exceptions exist, but they're definitely not the rule. I don't have a proper 1440p monitor to try out, but I imagine you can get 60 fps a lot of the time at that resolution. For that you may have to turn some settings down, obviously depends on the game. For 1080p it's nearly guaranteed. Just make sure your cpu isn't too outdated if you're aiming for 60. I've found that a xeon x3450 can do 60 @ 1080p so I'm assuming that all first gen i7s will show similar performance and likely better performance after overclocking. The only real issue with the RX 480 is that it doesn't compete better against Nvidia products of the time.

  • 85% of the 1070 hashrate at about half of the cost of a 1070

I have six AMD 8GB 1080's running on a mining rig and they perform very well. Different algorithms have different hashrates on the same card, so I'm not going to list any, but these consistently hash at about 85% the rate of an NVidia 1070, use less energy, and cost about half.

  • Rx480 $150

runs great even after being in a mining rig. If you get this for 150 or less its worth it. especially if you get two. Crossfire with this gpu is pretty good/ as expected. Gta with graphics maxed on one card got 25-35 fps now with two im getting 45-55 fps

  • Great Card!

The kids I bought this for say it is a lot faster than the one that went bad. It is a little larger than the OEM, but they made it fit.
