I read the reports before buying this printer and agree, it's one noisy puppy when getting ready to print. Sounds like it's killing itself but then settles down and does excellent quality document and photo printing. Printers are getting so big and this is nice and compact and fits my space very nicely. It certainly likes new Canon cartridges best After market refills seem to work reasonably well but the ink level features don't work and the ones I initially had did not register properly. The Canon CD for loading was useless but the web support is excellent and the software went in and fired up just fine. I'm beginning to like it more and more, right size, right performance for home use.

This is the second Canon PIXMA wireless printer we've purchased for our home, and so far it seems like another great investment. We've had some trouble with setting up the wireless connectivity on a slightly older laptop (circa 2014), but I had an extra cable on hand, which is very specific to the Canon printer, as it is USB on one end, and a unique kind of connector on the other. For now, the printer can be used with a cable. Haven't been able to troubleshoot to the extent that we can determine if it's the laptop that's the issue, but since my son is mostly using it at his desk for school, it's not a huge deal. The print quality is crisp, and as my son printed a large volume of pages while I was napping, I'd have to say it's relatively quiet.

PROS - Decent price, good print quality, 100-page duplexer, hybrid ink - (dye color, pigment black). CONS - Replacement ink cartridges are expensive. Although the printer is not cost prohibitive, the ink cartridges are expensive. I bought bulk inks to refill the original cartridges. Print quality is great and the (up to) 100-page duplexer is handy to print large documents with less paper. After trying the printer and refilling the ink, I would buy it again. I also recommend for people familiar with refilling ink cartridges. If your printing needs are minimal, you may find the cartridge ink prices acceptable. Either way, the print quality is very good.

like others say, its slow, noisy, but for what it costs, I am ok with it to use for small print jobs. it paired easy with my pc, but having problems pairing with smartphone 7. don't bother using the bundle software, its a trial thing. one warning I have never yet seen on printer safety, "This product emits low level magnetic flux. if you use a cardiac pacemaker and feel abnormalities, move away and call a Dr...

Even though the printer comes with a software CD, I don't have a CD drive on my small laptop. Not a problem. I went to the Canon website and downloaded the software which contained everything I needed including driver and the latest version. It is so nice to be able to print wirelessly from my laptop. So simple to set up and use. If I ever need another one, I'll surely buy another Canon.

This Canon PIXMA MG3620 seems to be an excellent copier/printer/scanner upon first use. Physical set-up and installation of the included ink cartridges (Black & Color) was a breeze. I have not, however, been able to connect it to WiFi despite searching for solutions online and following the enclosed instructions, which seemed clear. I do not know if this is user error. I am using Windows 10 and have had no issues with other WiFi enabled printers in the past. My Brother laser printer and HP Office Jet were easily configured. This one seems to need some combination of arcane button presses (WiFi + Color + etc.) along with a router button press. I was not successful. The printer does not come with a USB cable; luckily I kept mine from a previous printer. Once hooked up directly, it scanned directly to PDF using the Windows Scan Utility and printed a copy from my computer screen with no trouble or delay.Read full review

Set up was a pain but I endured, it's fine. Gave it a chance, should have known. Printer auto shuts off so every time you have to print you have to go to it to turn it on which to me defeats the entire purpose of a wireless printer. You cannot print a single sheet without an error. So once you turn it on and hit print you will have to wait for the error message to pop up because it doesn't take in paper from the feed properly. If you're lucky you'll only have to hit it once. More often than not though you have to reload the paper several times and keep hitting the feed button. If you like paper jams and coddling a printer that's supposed to be wireless and easy go for it. Very disappointed.

It took me almost 3 and 1/2 hours to set this up. First I had to restart my modem several times. That didn't work and actually caused my Chromebook to quit connecting to the internet despite every other device in my house still being able to connect. Finally I used my phone and got it connected. Then the connection would drop out after every time I tried to do any kind of function on it. Next, the cartridges needed calibrating but I couldn't get it to do a print alignment sheet. Half an hour later that finally ended up happening but then it got stuck in the feeder. This caused an error that I couldn't get rid of. Eventually after turning it off and back on again I got it to print another calibration sheet. This one would not scan. So I had to repeat the process according to the directions. The next three printer calibration sheets got jammed in the feeder and had to be pulled out by force. So about 5 hours after I started trying to set up and calibrate this garbage printer, I unplugged it, threw it back in the box and slapped a return label on it. This is hands-down the worst printer I have ever bought in my life and I would not recommend it to anyone ever!Read full review

I already had this exact printer. I was lucky to have found this same after searching for a new printer, after mine finally "bit the dust" after several years of use. It is very easy to set up. Having had this same printer, I sort of have an edge to set up. I like it because it doesn't have too many bells and whistles to confuse you. The disc makes it easy, and the wifi connection is great to have. The print quality is spot on for whatever you may need a printer for. I have had satisfactory prints made, as well as usual copying and business paperwork for household. It is not a commercial printer, but very good and trouble free for home use. Very basic, really with just enough of what one might need in their use of a simple home printer. It has 2 cartridges--black and color, which do a fine job. If you need a more professional print job, a printer with 4 color cartridges and other capabilities may be what you want. I highly recommend this printer!! Read full review
