Great Value for the Money. Easy to See Screen and Responsive Prompts. Highly Recommended.
Easy to read screen with responsive inputs. Size perfect for viewing without blocking driver view when placed correctly. Voice and screen prompts very helpful. Unit charges in about two hours via a PC connection. Using supplied car charger; always working and battery charged. Only "issue" is the relatively low battery life. But not enough to lower my rating. Mount seems to be secure; no problems. I am; however, going to use a beanbag type mount and let it sit on my dashboard. Not a "newer" model but does all I want it to do. Be sure to get one with "LM" as part of the model number as you get free lifetime maps. All in all comparable with factory installed unit in you dash as found in newer vehicles. I bought a Garmin refurbished unit; as new and no problems. I have used Garmin marine and automotive GPS devices for more than two decades and have always found them to be reliable, well featured and easy to use. This one is a big step up from my Nuvi 50LM, which is a great GPS in and of itself. But, the added safety features available on this unit, the larger screen and the way it displays information is super. Very accurate!
I was very surprise how accurate it is. Maybe a few feet off of actual directions. Amazing. Very clear screen and voice prompts. Battery life is not great without the charger but its no big deal plugging it in. The suction cup mount works ok on a very clean windshield. Purchased as a gift for Father’s Day. My dad had a VERY old garmin so this was a big upgrade. It does not come in a Garmin box but I don’t think he noticed. Very nice big, bright screen and ready to use. You don’t have to do anything to set it up except plug it in. He used it today and came home excited to tell me about all the cool (new to him) features like speed limit and current speed, no “recalculating”, and great easy to understand visuals with a lot more information. Not too intelligent to give you the right route
Need to play a lot to enter an address, manual doesn’t tell you how to select the city, just number and street and search in 3 states (?), took a while to figure it out. Doesn’t have a live traffic side screen, a big disadvantage compared to Tom Tom gps. This unit replaces an 8 year old Garmin and the difference is amazing! Great upgrade. Works essentially like the older unit but much smoother and of course with updates, many new features and lifetime maps!! Wow! I use it more already than the "Maps" usb program in my new Mazda. I already had Navigation in my 2007 Lincoln MKZ but it’s not as easy to use as past Navigation systems so I recently purchased the Garmin 60LM and am in love with how easy it is to reach destinations. I am a driver by trade so I am constantly driving to locations where timing is essential so this product has been one of the best purchases I’ve ever made.
