I love Seagate!
I've been working in IT for over 20 years. I've built many systems at work and at home. If you saw my home lab, you would probably ask...why? I have used many different brands of Hard drives during my early years in IT. Remember Napster? I had over 35,000 county songs.....only to lose them all! I won't say that I've never had a Seagate drive fail. But I will say that Seagate has run the longest for me without failure. I have several personal NAS devices, all with Seagate HDDs. All my laptops have Seagate, all 16 of my servers have multiple Seagate drives. When I saw this drive, I knew it was perfect for my TiVo Roamio Plus. It is recommended for DVRs, so when I purchased for my Tivo, I knew it was the perfect buy. I know it won't last forever, but I'm confident it will run longer than anything else.
