An indepth, scholarly compendium with detailed notes/footnotes, further readings, pronunciation guide, source citations and index; all vast. To say that the author, Morpheus Ravenna, has invested...poured her heart and soul into the telling of The Great Queen's--The Morrigan's story, along with the correlating historical data/figures in relation to Her, is an understatement. A sheer mountain of knowledge, whether the mundane, individual querant looking for a historical reference into the ancient culture of pre-Christian beliefs and practices of Ireland/Irish specific Celtic Polytheism or modern day devotees of Herself. The magnitude of this working and its importance is worlds away from anything I can put into words of my own to sufficiently describe or convey. I can only say that I am beyond grateful and humbled to finally hold this magnificent book in my hands. Ancestral history, knowledge...roots not only for myself but for the sharing in great respect and privilege with my daughter and grandchildren. An honorable history of place and being that can be studied/followed by anyone who wishes to give respect to the culture, mythologies, practices...due acknowledgements to those/that, who lived it in the past and of present day. Honored deeply to not only have it in my personal reading library but more so to have a special place within my sacred space. Much love and deepest respect to this iconic and amazing woman, author and Priestess for this, her invaluable treasure and gift.Read full review
