Great Design, Quality Construction, Superior Performance
Between the two largest online retailers I must have checked out the specs and reviews on at least 50 different trailer jacks. I settled on this one for several reasons. 1. Weight that this jack would support; 2. Solid construction; 3. Foot plate for stability; 4. Bolt mount instead of welded mount; 5. Efficient, fold-down handle mechanism. I couldn't be more pleased with the actual product. I mounted it on a pickup bed trailer, and it has exceeded my expectations in both quality and performance. Prior to mounting this jack, the only way I could raise and lower the hitch was to use a bottle jack. Nothing against bottle jacks; for the right application they are without peer. Using one to raise and lower the trailer, however, required a brick under the jack, and several 10x10 wood blocks under the hitch to rest the tongue on. It was a time-consuming process that was tedious at best. The novelty of simply of turning a handle to raise and lower the tongue to hitch and unhitch the trailer has still not worn off after 6 months of use. The best part is the speed with which I can now do either. This jack has made my life so much easier and hauling jobs are much less tedious; I can say this one is absolutely the best for my specific trailer and needs. I'm a very happy camper and recommend it highly based on design, sturdy construction, and performance. TIP: Be sure and do your homework before you buy ANY jack stand.Read full review

Not for smaller trailers
I give it 3 instead of 5 stars only because my trailer is a 5 X 8 but has smaller wheels, 14 in. and rides a little lower that one with full size wheels. As a result when I have the receiver hitch at the proper height, the trailer jack will not retract high enough to pivot. I have to use a higher hitch and the trailer rides higher in the front than the back putting the weight toward the back of the trailer instead of the front where it should be. Not the safest way to tow. Maybe if the foot plate would swivel it would work better. Other than that, the quality seems excellent.

Good but be careful
Hello, this product is good but be careful because if the frame of the trailer between your car and the trailer is small this will not work. You will not have enough space to swing up this jack and lock it into place. I actually had to cut the bottom of my trailer for this to work.
