Nintendo's ink-slinging shooter returns with new weapons and gear and the Salmon Run co-op mode in Splatoon 2. Up to eight gamers once again take control of shapeshifting creatures called Inklings, who in their childlike form use a variety of weapons to splatter colorful blobs of ink on every available surface. They can also transform into squid-like creatures and use their ink to travel at faster speeds, hide, refill reservoirs, and find shortcuts. Nearly 20 primary weapons and sub-weapons return from the first game, and players can now dual wield using the new Splat Dualies. The primary multiplayer game mode remains Turf Wars, in which teams of four compete in three-minute scrambles to cover the most ground with their colored ink. It's a fast-paced mix of action and strategy, with enemy ink significantly slowing down humanoid Inklings, and causing damage to squids. When gamers reach level ten in Turf Wars they can begin competing in ranked battles. The single-player mode finds gamers exploring Octo Canyon and battling the nefarious Octarians in an attempt to rescue the kidnapped Great Zapfish, while the Salmon Run mode lets teams of two or four join forces to battle waves of Salmonid foes and collect valuable golden eggs.

Coming from someone that plays a lot of shooters, not all shooters are created equal. I play a lot of Destiny and since it has aim assist, I figure I can do without the motion control, but it's even worse without it. As I got used to the motion control, the maneuverability is awesome. And once you get used to it, the game is fantastic and addicting.
And as with the connection issues, I have not had any connetion issues. Servers have issues. I understand it can hinder the game experience but nothing is perfect. And to return a game because of that is a bit dramatic.
This is an astoundingly wonderful product and I am so happy I got this game. I fell in love with the call of duty series and wanted something with online play that was similar in feel. This game is exactly that. A fun and innocent version of the call of duty series. I am totally addicted and cannot stop playing. This is a must have switch game and there is no debate if you own a switch you must make this a part of your collection
The Splatoon Amiibo is great, works as it should! Going to customize it. I also enjoy the game, it is super fun to play and I enjoy online and doing story mode. I will hopefully get Octo expansion soon, once I complete the core features. Can't recommend this game enough.
I already loved Splatoon 1, and I love Splatoon 2. So far I haven’t experienced connection issues, but maybe cause it was my first few hours of play. The game’s extremely addicting. Membership is about $4 a month or $20 a year, so it’s not that bad.
My son loves this game! It did have an update of over 2 GBs, which, to be honest, is annoying, but very hard to avoid these days. The camera in the game (operated by tilt) took him a while to get used to, but he likes it now.
