If you are looking for a book with just ghost stories in it this may not be for you. The chapters are long and contain mostly historic information with a little bit about ghosts on the side. Like the first chapter is about 14 pages and only the last paragraph mentions a ghost. The author seems to be trying to debunk, in a round about way, the ghost stories which gets rather annoying by the 4th chapter. The history part can also get pretty long winded and repetitive. After reading the 1st chapter I was so disappointed in this book because I was looking for ghost stories with a bit of history mixed, not the other way around, hence the 3 stars. The book is well written and I like the pictures and learning more of Plymouth's history is nice just not what I expected from a book called 'Ghosts of Plymouth'.Read full review

Eyewitness accounts of ghosts backed up by historical evidence, paranormal research, and sessions with a psychic. I learned a lot more about Plymouth. This book makes me want to visit again.
