    similar quality of the original but 1/4" shorter

    My old dipstick would work its way out if you didn't put back in correctly. I discovered this after and transmission oil change. How did I discover this? Since my oil change, my truck transmission starting running hot. One day pulling 12,000 pounds in the mountains, my transmission got up to 240 degrees. It typically runs 170 degrees pulling trailers. I pulled over and my dipstick was sticking out two inches. I pushed it back in and my temp dropped 60 degrees in 30 miles. 500 miles later, it happened again. I did a little reading and to find out the original dipsticks had issues, a little long so that is why I tried a new dipstick. Comparing the two dipsticks, my original dipstick is 1/4" longer than the new dipstick which solved all problems. I was able to install this dipstick and it didn't want to push back out like the original.

    Fixed prob

    Had problem with dipstick baking out of tube. This is slightly shorter than the one I had, supposedly dodge had a bunch of them that were to long from the factory and the vibration from the moter would work them out of the bottom of the trans pan? This one is perfect fit and is always in place now.
