What I like about this series compared to the past series, is that there are a variety of bombs that can be used and this time you can even jump during the quest of your adventure. But there is a very easy catch to this game: It does not support multiplayer, which is why most people wouldn't recommend it, but in my opinion, the game still has unique qualities to this game than the other series, levels that more left to right, or down to up, or low to high, you name it. The new bombs called the salt bomb, and the ice bomb, is what determines the future for the bomberman decade, seeing that most of the others already have new bombs, thanks to this game.
This game takes me back. I used to have this game, but it was lost over the years. It feels so good to play it after so long.

Bomberman Hero is a fuller single-player Bomberman experience on the Nintendo 64... but has always screamed for the inclusion of a multiplayer component.
