First, some background info: I am Asian, have the almond-eye shape, and short lashes. I have had experience with other people's eyelash curlers, which was not so pleasant. I was reading a lot about Shiseido eyelash curler, and looked at one on Sephora ($20), and then went to Ebay to try my luck. And I got luck. BTW, it looks just like the one on Sephora picture (which is kind creepy because they don't show the box, which is supposed to be red, and that's the Makeup curler). The makeup and the maquillage are very similar from what I read. This curler doesn't pinch the sides of my eyelids, but it may pinch the middle part of your eyelids if you place it too close, duh. It picked up most of my lashes, only 1 or 2 on the very outer edge are left off. It makes a perfect, natural curl on my right eye, and I think on the left eye, the 1/4 outer edge is kinda L-shape, don't know why. I have never had that kind of curly lashes until now. So, I'm quite surprised and happy with the result. A note though, if you're not happy with your purchase, paypal will pay the return shipping fee. Just in case ;) good luck!!Read full review

it is just an OK lash curler, nothing stands out, it doesn't work better than some less expensive curlers, for that reason I;m not recommend it. Happy shopping,

Had the shu umera curler at first but switched to shiseido after I used my cousins. This curler is really good for my Asian hooded eyes, it lets me get to the roots much more easier.

Best eyelash curler I have used. It almost curls too much if that is possible.

Great eyelash curler for smaller asian eyes. It fits the shape of my eyelids quite well and doesn't pinch my eyelids. Definitely recommend.
