This is a quality name decades-old company who has apparently sold out to China. The workmanship shows it. Cheap, lightweight, too small for the average hand and rinky-dink and I rarely give poor ratings. I instead had my decades-old Swing Away thoroughly cleaned and sharpened the blade with ALUMINUM FOIL and it's pretty much as good as it was when I first bought it in the 70s. It's a shame our USA workmanship has come down to this. I put it back in the package after one use and will give it to Salvation Army thrift store. It wasn't expensive but what good is it at any price if it doesn't work well???

Can opener is light and seems cheaply made. Company has a good reputation, but this was certainly a disappointment. It had been recommended by a friend, who has used one for years. I let her use mine yesterday and she said it is not at all like the quality of hers. Also, very hard to turn the cutter.

I purchased the more expensive one $13.99 and it is heaver and much better. I would recommend that you should buy the better one. I bought this one as an extra thinking it was the same but without the can opener but it is not. It only has one head and it lighter weight.

This can opener is a lot more lightweight than the previous Swing-a-way can opener that I owned. The previous one was an older one that was heavy duty. The white handles doesn’t want to stay on slipping down while using. The can oper does open the can alright but just feels and looks super cheap.

I had a swing a way opener I used for many years and it was great so I bought this one because I knew it was a good product, but this one is not as well built as the old one.
