It doesn't have the range I need for my house. I can't place my modem in the center of the house and no matter where I place the nighthawk there is a dead room, sometimes two. I have gotten a TP-LINK with an extra extender which has solved the problem. It does require me to have a different user name for each extender and initially that was a bit of a pain but the password I use is the same for all three so it works seamlessly now. For people with large houses this is something to be aware of. I spent considerable time looking into wi-fi extenders and wish the Nighthawk had worked for me. for anyone looking to save some money; if you have either neighbors that are close or family; if they have a good router and are willing to share their connection this can help you not have to pay for full service yourself.. maybe you could help them upgrade to a better one and you both save money... Mesher's keep your speed faster than extenders. and this one fills a house pretty well with signal from the one side to the other... My house is nearly 400 ft from my folk's and I have fast enough signal at that range to do good anime streaming, and some fairly competitive gaming...
