  • Save money by re-building your own regulator

After getting tired of paying $85 for a regulator rebuild I found this kit. With some trepidation I gave it a try. The rebuild process was easy and by the time the regulator needed another repair a few years later there was no question about doing it myself or paying for it. You can find videos showing the steps if you're not sure. Doing your own rebuild is not for everyone. There are risks if you get it wrong and you may prefer the security of having a pro do the work. But if you want to do your own this kit has everything you need.

  • Seat assembly has a hole through it, the new one doesn't...Does it make a difference?

On our Victor SR250C model, the seat assembly (the T shaped brass piece) had a hole all the way through it and one hole on the side. The new one in the package was solid through and through. I used the new one, and have had no issues whatsoever as I have used the gauge multiple times. Note: be sure to check the position of the brass end cap...if memory serves, the smaller diameter should be facing the spring....but please don't take my word for it, just REALLY pay attention to it's position=very important.

  • Regulator rebuild super easy

Took me maybe 10 minutes to rebuild the regulator for my sr250 the question was if I wanted to know what the quality of the product was it's hard to tell I'll let you know in about six months maybe a year and then I'll let you know how the quality is if I have to rebuild it before a year again within a year no good quality but if it lasts more than a year very good quality so I'll let you know sr250 regulator rebuild kit very easy to find very easy to rebuild also I would like to add the welding supply store that I purchased it from on eBay was extremely helpful in helping me find other rebuild kits for other regulators

  • Repair Kit

I accidentally ordered the wrong part number but I was able to use almost every part in the kit anyway. So I didn't need to exchange it. The kit was high quality and I am very happy with it. I would definitely order again but I would get the right number next time.

  • The way to go.

Looks to be genuine Victor parts they fit and my torch works again. The local stores would not sell me the parts I needed for this simple repair and what they wanted to send my regulator out was expensive. This was the easy inexpensive way to go.

  • Easy to install!

First time I've rebuilt this type of regulator. The new diaphragm is different than the original. Took about 5 mins to kit each regulator. As an amateur, the only questions I had were the torque settings. I apparently got it right and the regs work just fine.

  • Regulator Rebuild Kit

Genuine Victor kit, very easy to install and works great. Need to have the nylon slip ring so the diaphram won't tear when tightening the housing cap. Would be great if they were offered together.

  • No nut but works great

Replaced the rubber that suddenly gave out. Almost 30 years of service, glad to keep my victor working instead buying something else. Worked great, and easy to replace.

  • Victor 250 regulator kit

Complete genuine Victor kit. All necessary parts were included. No instructions were packaged but its a straightforward repair, just put it together in the reverse of disassembling. Regulator works like new now. Glad a low buck fix was available.

  • Victor SR250 rebuid

Good quality parts. Easy to rebuild. There is one sealing ring not included in the kit which in my opinion should be included. It is the nylon ring that goes between the diaphragm and the main body threads (#5 on diagram). I used the old one with no problems, but I feel this seal should have been included.
