Versatile MP3 Player
PDA65 e Bay Review Versatile MP3 Player I purchased this device because of the MP3/WAV media player. I like this MP3 Player [32GB SD card capacity, direct access to up to 9,999 songs via remote, random play feature, fast forward, remembers last song played and automatically starts there, remembers last mode setting like random play, digital volume control, pause, displays track number and song title, can display folder titles, is capable of folder navigation]. The player has a durable remote for the MP3 player with “direct TV” type buttons rather than “microwave oven” type buttons, (I have used this remote for over three years with no problems). I use this player to play MP3 files and WAV files. Every Pyle product that I have purchased, I have had to modify to meet my sonic expectations [I am an electrical engineer with Technician abilities]. This unit is no exception. Pyle products are usually low cost and easily modified. The amplifier in this unit is OK as long as you need the power that it has [50 W per channel RMS into 8 Ohms]. If you do not need that power you will have difficulty taming it. The DC offset and zero crossing distortion make the amplifier difficult to apply at low volume levels [much less than 1 Watt]. A transformer based speaker volume control effectively tames the DC offset and zero crossing distortion so that it can be used at low volume levels. I do not use Microphones so I converted the Microphone inputs to Headphone outputs with a volume control. I modified this unit so that I could use it with an external amplifier better suited for use at low power levels. I modified this unit to correct the incorrect phase, reversed channels and low frequency roll-off of the Media Player. I modified the balance control, BASS control and the Treble control.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Loud Continuous Running Cooling Fan
It works fine but it has an extremely loud cooling fan that runs continuously. Just for that reason i wouldn't recommend it. It is annoying for my application. It will be interesting to see how long the fan lasts when it runs all the time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
