Rerouting the tunes.
These were bought with the intent to upgrade from the existing patch cords regularly used with analog systems. They function flawlessly, and are the perfect length for connection without too many snarls when installed. Perfect choice for the audiophile.

Worked like a charm
Recently my television died so I went to Sam's and got an inexpensive 4k set. I have a HDMI switching receiver in got in 2013 that advertised the 3 of the 4 HDMI inputs could accept 4K, but the receiver's inputs will not apparently accept HDCP 2.2. Anyway I also bought the ROKU 4K streaming + stick and tried running it into the HDMI input on the receiver marked "game" and labeled 4K. That didn't work; all I could get was 720P out of this hookup arrangement. I had to plug the stick into the HDMI2 port on the TV itself to get the 4K, and of course that means to get sound to the receiver you have to use the digital output from the TV to the receiver and that is what this cable is for. I had anticipated this might happen and ordered the cable ahead of time. It works fine but this hookup arrangement makes it more complicated than switching from cable to blue ray (which use the reciever's HDMI inputs). You have to set the TV to HDMI2 and the receiver to "TV," and set both devices it back when you are done Oh well, can't have everything.

you get what you pay for - and might be disappointed
Well you get what you pay for... in all fairness this is VERY cheap and with a clip (see below) I'm able to get it to work for it's intended function. The main problem is that it falls out of it's port at the back of my TV with only the slightest nudge .. I know this isn't the TV's fault because my previous optical cable I had in there (had to buy a new soundbar since we purchased an additional TV) remained in the TV "socket/port" without being so easily dislodged you had to actually pull it out. Fortunately I have other cables running to the back of the TV that stay in place and a spare plastic clip ... easy solution was to clip the cable to the other cables and the not-so-secure optical cable "relies" on the better cables to not get knocked out anymore. It's possible I simply received a faulty cable given all the positive reviews of this product but .. that was my experience.

Pretty good but
The length is nice the gauge is think and it does the job well all considering the price, but the one little issue I found is that the actual connectors don't tent to have allot of grip when when u actually insert them and can easily be jimmied out accidentally.

Excellent Fiver Optic Cable
This cable is well made and works just fine. It is made more substantial that a flimsy one I got with another piece of equipment and needed to fish into a tight spot in my cabinet from the TV to where my amplifier was located. I got this cable because i didn't trust the flimsy one that I had. Sounds fine after installation.
