Ooma Telo
As a non-savy tech person, I installed the Ooma myself. We have been running the Ooma Telo side by side with our land line before deciding to discontinue land line. It's been several weeks since we installed the Ooma and no problems. Once hooked up, for the first time, it took a little while for the Ooma to boot up (from flashing red to blue)...approx. 45 minutes. Since then no problems. Plans are to discontinue land line in the near future. Uncertain if we will port our present land line phone no. to Oooma. Our phone bill will be lowered from $52.00 per month to $4.22 per month. Nice, inexpensive way to have a home phone service!
Once set up, it works like a champ. I bought used of one of their original products and initially got a message that the unit was already being used. I got in touch with OOMA and gave them the unit information. He verified they could reset it in their system, but it would take a few days. 3 days later, I was able to complete set up and it works like it should. Only costs less than $8.00 a month. It always pays to shop around
It is a replacement for a previous similar model. This one is much better as it is a new one rather than a factory refurbished product from Ooma. Works great, good quality
Much better than magic jack, i had their service for over 10 years but it was having trouble with our new internet,so thought it may be time for a change, and Ooma is amazing, very low cost for me (a little more per year then MJ) and the sound quality is amazing, i can hear people now and not have to strain and the voices sound just like they should instead of just a little bit digital. the hardware seems much more substantial to me then the little magic jack dongles - i will miss being able to travel with it easily as it does not just plug into my laptop, the base also has a light to tell me when i have voicemail though so that is niceVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

I've only had this product installed for about five days, so the jury is still out a bit. But, set-up was easy and I like the ability to change certain features through the online access to my account. I connected it right to the house's existing phone wiring. my 2nd Ooma
This little modem works great and saves me a ton of money! I've been using an Ooma telo for almost 10 years now and it works brilliantly. Ooma is a great value
Four stars instead of 5 because, while I have an IT background I had significant difficulty getting the system to function as setup is required. A call to Ooma support was a step I should have taken earlier (but how difficult can setting up a VOIP system be?). That call with some instructions and a download did the trick. Everyone says the line quality is crystal clear, almost eerily so. ☺️ I know this is an old model, several years old, and has the limitation of a wired setup to the modem rather than a wireless connection, but with two wireless handsets that only need occasional recharging at their base, it fits the need and for a lot less money than then the newer wireless version. My monthly cost here in SW Michigan is $8.13 for the taxes and fees. I was surprised Michigan was $2.00 higher than Peoria, IL. Ooma gives boot to Comcast
After spending way to many dollars on Comcast phone, I purchased a used ooma system from ebay. Simple transfer of ownership, and quick port of old number. Port cost seemed a little high but then it more than balances out. If you are not dedicated to old number, you can start fresh with a number from anywhere in the US.
