Beat my modest expectations
The LiDE 400 Flatbed scanner exceeded my modest expectations. I am using it to digitize the shoeboxes full of snapshots that our family accumulated over the years. I particularly liked the device's ability to scan up to four 3x5 snapshots on a single pass, creating separate digital images for each photo. I am happily surprised at the output quality.
This model was inexpensive and so I am especially impressed at how well it works (once I got the settings straight). I actually had to call Canon tech support, but they helped me through it and all the features like ScanGear Advanced Mode, and it became kind-of amazing.
