If you own a German car, stick with the Mann or OEM filters. I thought I was doing my S500 right by buying a Napa Gold oil filter—wrong. Cheap plastic, made in China, with very frail looking construction. This Mann filter is much sturdier, well made, and of the proper cloth/twine/resin construction. Looks like it’s designed to surpass the specified service intervals. And it was significantly less expensive to boot!

this is a somewhat unusual oil filter in that it isn't the usual paper element variety. it is made of fleece and is the OEM recommended product for many mercedes (and i'm sure other) vehicles. in my case the application is for a 2005 chrysler crossfire srt6 which was build tin germany and is pretty much all SLK kompressor underneath.
