I think this flick is hilarious, based on it's inappropriate, sophomoric humor. The story is pretty much off the shelf--a grade-school on the edge, only to be saved at the last minute by one earnest young teacher and another who's faith has been renewed, who pull the school together and defeat the evel principal. What distinguishes this flick it the off-the-wall, and mostly inappropriate humor, expertly executed. Teachers smoking in class and cursing out the kids, gym coaches exorting boys & girls to box each other, toddlers shooting up. I don't want to give the gags away, but it IS ADULT humor. Adolescent, anyway. Teachers who don't take themselves too seriously, or people who had a rough time as a kid will enjoy the spoof. not for kids or for sheltered adults.Read full review
Geraldine Ferraro Elementary is on the brink of collapse: the lowest test scores in the state, teachers who are either drunk or having sex on school grounds, and a principal who extorts money from parents. It's up to Tom, the down-on-his-luck vice-principal, to rally the lazy teachers, expose the principal's corruption, and turn the school around before an end of the day board decision that is certain to lead to its closure.
I am a Monica Potter fan. I found this movie to be both entertaining and hilarious as the characters develop and evolve during the storyline. There were enough characters to provide different storylines simultaneously, but still not too many to be overwhelming.

This movie is about average. It has some funny points, but the humor is just a little weird from my league. It does have a good storyline and shows how some people can care. If you have nothing to watch, this is an okay movie to kill some time but not worth buying for a high price.
Decent comedy film
