Well, I was anticipating watching the masters of funk, live on stage, for the first time. When I started watching this I became very annoyed with the camera work. I understand it was 1976, but the mere fact that there were hardly ANY panoramic views of that awesome stage show left me empty. The "sleepy" camera operator couldn't seem to wake up his zoom function and he always seemed to focus on facials rather than someone playing their instrument. Only until the end you notice there IS actually a drummer and bass player. There HAS to be another professionally shot version of the mothership connection, but at least we have SOMETHING!
to me this dvd was the boooooom. the quality wasnt all that great but it was great. for me it was a must have to have. i took my brother to this concert in st. louis when he was 9 years old. all through the years he has talked about his big sister turning him into a pee-funkerteer.because of that now that we are in our 40s and 50s it was a must have to have. it was a xmas gift to him this was the best.
Great purchase
