Works well, but difficult to operate with the helmet on
Schuberth makes this product for their C4 helmet. It gives you longer range than the standard unit. It is easy to install, but must be turned on before you put on the helmet. This unit operates from two buttons located to the rear of the helmet which must be pressed simultaneously to turn on. Once the helmet is on your head the buttons are very inconvenient to access. This problem is compounded if you wear gloves. The sound it produces is adequate at low speeds, but much less adequate at higher speeds with wind noise, unless your motorcycle has a large fairing like a Harley Davidson. The convenience however, of having an in-helmet microphone and speakers make this product worthwhile, in spite of the high price. The battery life is good, lasting for 7 hours or so, and it is shielded from water exposure inside the helmet. If you have the C4 helmet the SC1 is a must have for group and solo riders. I would buy it again.
