Good Value in a home radon monitor.
In my opinion, the AIRTHINGS Home radon detector is a good value. You can check the hourly fluctuations, as well as the 7 day average and average over the entire time since the last reset. Reset is easy and you get your first reading in 24 hours. I have more than one. The more data, the better for understanding your radon situation. Follow the placement directions, or your data may be flawed.

Everyone should own one.
I purchased an Airthings 223 Corentium Home Radon Detector It works very well. I tested it against the free test kits provided by my local health department. They had the same readings. A single use test used when you first move in is not enough. Radon levels change. It gives an average of the past 24 hours, the past 7 days and the past year. I would recommend that absolutely everyone buy one.

Accurate radon gas readings
I have used this detector for over a month. The readings that I get with this device compare favorably with two other test methods that were used. The only drawback that I have seen is that pressing the RESET button can cause an error message to appear in the display. Sometimes a subsequent press of the button causes the unit to recover. Also removing the batteries for a few minutes & then reinserting them will recover from an error. I have contacted the manufacturer several times via email & they always respond with helpful information. I feel confident that the radon gas readings that I get are valid.

Straightforward instrument for measuring radon levels.
I live in a region of the country (Albuquerque, NM) where radon levels are naturally above the national recommended 4.00 pCu/L. This is a straightforward instrument to setup. As far as using it is quick to setup for measuring short and long term radon levels in an area - just use a paper click to press the reset button. So far in two 7-day reading periods, in different locations, the long term average went down each of the first 3 days. Then it started back up on the 4th day. I am fine with that but since the short term value went up on day 4 the long-term value really jumped higher than any ready during the test period. Thus, make sure to test for a full seven day period as fluctuations up and down can and do occur. The long term value did go back down during days 5 through 7. I am testing in my basement, each bedroom and my shed. Then I am going to ask my neighbor to do the same so I have a better feel for everything. I suggest searching online for knowledge of radon and how it may change depending on time of year. Plus look for a map for your region of the country.Read full review

Peace of Mind is priceless
One week before buying the Airthings - Corentium Home Radon Detector, I paid a lab for Radon tests of 3 different rooms in my home. The Airthings is matching the lab report results. It's easy to use, easy to set up, and provides accurate information I can move the Airthings from room to room and even test the basement every so often. I like that it shows both short and long term Radon levels. I also took it to our son's house to test the Radon level in his home. I highly recommend the Airthings for anyone concerned about Radon levels in their home. I cannot find any "bad" details to report about this detector.

Airthings RADON monitor review.
It is very easy to use. The RADON levels are consistent with previous 48 hour, 1-use test results. However, the unit displays more detailed readings over different internal and outside ambient weather conditions. These seem to have an effect on RADON levels, which fluctuate greatly over time. This could point the homeowner towards things that might be altered to reduce the long term RADON levels.

Reassuring and easy to use
This unit seems to work very well. It was very close to my home inspector's report. We determined that I had a radon problem and after mitigating the radon, the readings dropped as expected. I have no other easy way to determine the accuracy, but seeing the readings drop 90+ percent over a few days were very reassuring. The daily fluctuations were observable, but the long term average was relatively consistent.

great radon sensor
Product is high resolution, easy to setup, and has worked flawlessly. Only wish would be for an option to battery power, like an external ps plug. I have another unit that plugs in and both read very close to the same values. Would definitely recommend everyone check their radon level, especially if you are finishing off your basement

Great for knowing ongoing radon levels
I had performed a couple of radon tests in my home using charcoal canisters and they exceeded the recommended limit of 4.0 pCi/L limit. With the monitor, I can see that the levels in my home fluctuate - sometimes well above the limit and sometimes below. I will be having a remediation system installed in the next week. The monitor has been helpful in understanding what is truly going on and will be helpful going forward to know the levels of radon after the system is installed. I wish I had purchased this long ago.
