Another reviewer noted this is not an official boxset and while that's true, you will also be very hard pressed to find an original even close to this price, particularly unopened. It is definitely the most affordable option for the value you're getting. If you're looking for this item specifically for the movies - I would pass. It includes the original Pioneer dub but it's placed over the Japanese film so it includes the original Japanese op/ed and audio. I was a little disappointed by this, along with the lack of subtitles in the first and second season (although that was mentioned in the listing so it's my own fault for missing that piece), but it's still great quality for what you're paying. Soooooo glad I bought this
This collection is exactly what I was looking for. The DIC version of sailor moon that I'd grown up with. Everything came to me in perfect new condition. And the quality is better than I expected for the 5 seasons. However the quality of the 3 movies aren't quite as good as I remember, but not terrible. So glad I bought this!!! Came in earlier then expected which is wonderful. Everything is brand new, perfect condition and it's the originals I grew up with♡♡ I am watching first thing in the morning before I have to work♡♡ I really thought I'd never see them again as you can only find them on VHC around my area and even that is hard. Worth every penny
I'm so happy! I'm really enjoying the new Viz dub that's on Hulu, but the thought of never being able to see the original Dic dub that aired on Cartoon Network made me really sad. I was scared this would be some crappy bootleg copy, but the quality is incredible, and it has all the original voices and storylines I remember as a kid. Including the movies. This is better than I ever expected! Please note before buying this is the rare "Serena" dub from DIC. This has no Japanese option, because it is only the DIC dub. This is the one American millenials watched on Saturday mornings. "Fighting evil by moonlight!" "In the name of the moon, I'll punish you!" And countless more cheesy lines will bring you back to your childhood. That being said- on to the product itself. This is beautifully packaged, the discs are beautiful, the sound is clear and the picture quality is flawless. Awesome! Just what I wanted! I really never expected to find this. If you want to watch the DIC dub of Sailor Moon, this is a very quality package and I highly recommend it.

Authentic 90s version!
Sooo happy I bit the bullet and bought this! I saw it and immediately knew I had to have the complete series. I tried watching the new dub and just can’t. I want the dub I grew up with, even if it’s not a word for word copy of the original. If i wanted to watch Sailor Moon exactly ad it aired in Japan I can just watch the japanese dub. Power of Love
I agree with all the other comments about the voices being like how I remembered as a teen. I love it! I'm not a fan at all of the new dub version, so I'm happy I finally broke down (awhile back) and bought this. The ONLY thing I am very disappointed over is after watching Sailor Moon R the movie, the song, The Power of Love, was not used. That made me sad because I was excited for it to start playing and then let down, lol. The intro song is just like I remembered and so far, so is everything else. Not great! Not worth 200$!
Im SO upset. I was so looking forward to buying this and having a piece of my childhood, but I have been nothing but disappointed! First of, the quality isnt great. It is scratchy and pixely. Very obvious its a crappy bootleg. Second of all, My sailor moon R dvd was messed up!! It wasnt even the 90s DIC version!! There were songs during the scouts transformation, no power of love song and just over all was missing parts and was not right. Trust me, i know this movie, i watched and danced to this movie SO much as a kid. I'm not even looking forward to watching the rest of the collection because its probably all messed up too.
