Nice addition to the R
The device is a great addition for those with large hands; there are a few things to be aware of. The device requires specific batteries to charge via USB-C | PD-E1. Future buyers, you must have LP-E6N batteries for this Grip, and Canon told me that the battery has special charging requirements. Pro Tip: While you can purchase them from Canon directly, approx- 80$. I was able to get a compatible battery from B&H for 40$, so it worked out.

Amazing- You should buy one.
Quality battery grip, as expected for a canon product, although pricey. Completely transforms the feel of the camera and makes using the camera a much more comfortable and enjoyable to use, as well as extending battery life and allowing for the charging of two batteries at the same time through the supplied USB-C charger. Hard to not reccomend it, the benefits and long term benefit far justify the cost (although the cost is high.)

This time bigger is better.
I was not going to get the battery grip because I wanted to keep the camera small, but after trying it on the camera, I like it quite a bit. Yes it is bigger, yes, it weighs more, but if you shoot a lot of vertical shots or you have large hands, it helps a lot! It is very sturdy, and you can also charge the batteries inside the grip. Highly recommended.

A worthy addition to the EOS R Camera System
This camera grip is a worthy addition to the Canon EOS-R system: It installs easily, lovingly handles two batteries (and makes charging them a breeze) and falls solidly into the hand, giving the whole camera a more solid feel. I love the duplication of the controls for use in the vertical shooting mode: that's genius. My only reservation is that the increase in overall camera height makes storing it in the usual carrying bags and backpacks more of an issue. It's just so tall. In all, though, I love this grip and recommend it to you highly.

If you have the EOS R the grip is a must have. Excellent ergonomics, quality build, full featured plus it comes with charger. For me it’s an absolute perfect fit if you have very, very small hands you might not be happy with the fit. You need two batteries in mirrorless cameras.
