Should be more robust.
For a hinge that will get used thousands of times on a laptop, it is quite weak. The link between the hinge section is very small, about 3mm and this is where it fails. It also costs a third of the price of a completely new laptop to replace, that's if you replace it yourself. It works well when it does, but once it breaks, other things like the plastic casing it is attached to starts to break apart with it. This chromebook is mainly used by kids for school so it should have been made more robust to handle the use.
