I was using a Cooler Master 400W to power two HDDs and GTX 970 OC which calls for 500W minimum. One day i was curious and felt the back of my PC on the PSU. Felt like putting my hand on a stove burner. While the PC ran okay in this configuration, i wanted something moren powerful for an upcoming transplant/build. I installed this PS and my PC has never been quieter. I was a little turned off about the sleeve bearing fan but come to find out that a fan placed in a horizontal rotation has absolutely no strain on a bearing whatsoever. Sleeve bearing fans were always quieter in my experience anyway so I went ahead with it. Glad I did. Whisper quiet, cool calm and collected with many connections and future expandability. If I had any complaint is that they would give a little more lead on the two +2's on the 8 pin PCI-E connectors so i could have heat shrunk them back and out of the way around the two GPU plugs. No biggie but they just kinda hang out there in the open. Great value in an 80 plus PSU.Read full review

I had a 500W Power Supply and I needed to upgrade to something bigger because I got a Gigabyte AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT. I am using it to type this.
