The ScyTek A42W is a very nice alarm system that is not expensive
Good directions and helpful people at Scytek if you need to ask any questions. Lots of programming options you can pick from, the default ones are what most people would need. I did change a few of them. Just read the manual a few times before you program any changes. It may sound confusing at first, but it’s pretty simple. The 2020 manual that came with my alarm didn’t tell you how to set the time on the 2way fab, the on-line manual at ScyTek shows how to set it. I didn’t use the remote start so I just had the doors, hood, and trunk to hook up. I’m pretty sure this is made in the US. The manual is all written in good English, no foreign to English translation.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Waste of Time and Money.
This alarm combines the status LED, valet switch and antenna. It actually makes installing/mounting it more difficult. The battery cover has, after 2-days, fallen off (lost). Also, my unit will not unlock with either remote after locking. The installer has spent hours troubleshooting this problem. I found the remote a bit chunky and it's difficult to remember all the button combos to change functions such as silent arm/disarm.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
