Glad to find these in one DVD Surplus 8 Pack! Curse of the Werewolf, Evil of Frankenstein, Brides of Dracula, Phantom of the Opera and Night Creatures Were my favorites of the pick. Being now in my mid 50's. I remember watching these back in the 70's and 80's on Chicago Networks such as WGN9, WLS7 and WFLD32 and sometimes would come on during School Day hours or very Late at Night! Scared The Heck out of me! Oliver Reed was one of the Best detailed Werewolves, Herbert Lom next to Chaney SR. was the creepiest Phantom! and Evil of Frankenstein was the next scariest to Curse of Frankenstein's Christopher Lee! Just wish that old VHS Movie Companies would switch over these other Long Lost Hammer 60's Classics into a DVD 4 Pack: Dracula Prince of Darkness, Plague of the Zombies, The Mummy's Shroud and The Reptile! SomeDay Hopefully!Read full review

This set features Eight Films by Hammer Studios including several Classics with Peter Cushing, including "Brides Of Dracula" (his second Dracula-Themed Film but no Christopher Lee in this one) and The Rarer DVD Version of "The Evil Of Frankenstein" (my favorite in his Frankenstein Portrayals). Also includes Hammer's version/take on of Two Classic Stories "Phantom Of The Opera" and "The Werewolf Of Paris" (released as "The Curse Of The Werewolf" in 1961 with Oliver Reed. Note this script was based on the novel/story, so things don't get "Hairy" until about an hour into film, as this is no "The Howling" don't expect a lot of Lycanthrope here, still worth a look). Wish Hammer would of done more Werewolf Themed Pictures. Great collection!

Hammer. That's why. What a fun ride. I wish I could have been an actress in the days and nights of movie making working with the ghouls.
