Great product but difficult to install
I bought these air bags for my truck after installing a similar set on a friend's car. The install on his car took about an hour and was super easy. Perhaps because these are the heavy duty bags this install was much different. They just didn't want to go in! After a few hours and removing both wheels for access I finally got the job done. Unless you like a good fight leave this install to the pros.....but both sets work great on their respective vehicles!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent option for towing. Put these on my '18 Ram. Tow a 30ft camper that's around 6,500 lbs. Add wood and gear and I'm well over 7k. I have a leveling kit on the front as well. With these at about 40 psi there is just about 0 squat. The ride is better and much more stable. I highly recommend these. Remove the rear tires when installing if you're not using a lift. Makes it much easier. I did one valve and brought it out at the hitch by the existing hole near the base of the hitch. No drilling. Just takes some muscle to get them in the spring. Easy to install, not in a Ram 1500
I've worked on cars and trucks all my life. I ordered the heavy duty air bags which fit inside the rear coils. I followed the directions raising the vehicle and dropping the suspension . I even removed the rear tires for easier access to the springs. I deflated the airbags and began the task of getting them inside the coils. I managed to get one inserted but ran out of time on the other side. It maybe the heavy duty bags are thicker or not as playable but they are a nightmare to insert. I even heated them with a heat gun to make them softer and used silicone spray. I may have to disconnect the shock to stretch the spring as much as possible to get the bag inserted. Not a fun or easy job.

Eliminates squat. Its well worth the money
If you are on the fence jump off and buy it. The install is easy (there are several videos YouTube that can help you through it) and most importantly it works. I have a Ram 1500 and pulled an 8,000 Camper and with this pumped up to about 25ps I had no squat what so ever. Of course it stiffens up the rid but that is what you need to support / control the weight. Product is good quality. This is the best product for added rear suspension. I tow an RV and even with a weight distribution hitch you still have some squat. With the installation of these air bags you eliminate any squatting and it levels your truck. This provides better handling and stability. While driving at night the other drivers love it to as your head lights are not pointing up and hitting them in the rear view mirror. Great Airbags
If you have an 09+ Dodge Ram and tow anything you know the coil springs that make it ride so well also squat, ALOT. Airlift developed the perfect solution to this problem in the Airlift 1000 system. Well if you want a little more out of your towing capabilities than the airlift 1000 HD is for you. The 1000 HD system offers the same ease of use and install as the regular air lift 1000 but it offers slightly more load leveling capability.
