The auto parts stores wanted over $100 for a cheap made in China pump and strainer, that did not even fit properly (tried 5 different stores all bad fit on a 95 subaru legacy 2.2) I was not going to pay over $100 + tax for an I'll fitting made in China pump. So I purchased this one and installed it. This pump was not the best fit either same as auto parts stores, I had to drill 2 holes in the fuel pump bracket and wrap a wire around pump to keep it in place also used 1 zip tie. To get a perfect fit I would have had to purchase a factory subaru pump for around $400. You can buy around 22 of these pumps for the price of a dealer pump. So far car has run fine with this pump has only been a week though I would have to have at least a 5 year time period to know if this is a quality pump or not. The factory subaru pump lasted over 20 years and over 254000 miles. This pump looks identical to all of the auto parts store pumps at a fraction of the price. I actually bought 2 cheap pumps so when I'm 400 miles away from home on a Sunday and the fuel pump goes out it will not ruin my day. Only about a 30 minute job to install it on this vehicle. Would have given 5 stars but had to modify bracket to get to fit all the other pumps are the same will have to zip tie or wire them so pump will not fall off bracket. The factory pump is the only one that might fit properly I have ordered factory pumps that were a poor fit also.
