As an automotive technician.
As an automotive repair technician I needed some additional questions answered.I was able to speak to one of the repair technicians with the information he had i was able to determine that it was likely to be the computer. But he also offered a return option. With a small reprogramming fee and shipping fees. Which was well worth the cost of ruling out the computer. as it turned out I did in fact neither computer and it solved all of my trouble code problems and erratic readings.
