We wanted an uncomplicated coffee maker. So many are large and have features that we don't think are necessary. All we want is a good cup of coffee, quickly. This Bodum 12 cup seemed like the perfect combination, but reviews are all over the place with this one. There is only one MINOR issue that I think should be considered. The shower head drip system makes it A BIT hard to pour the VERY LAST drop of water from the caraf into the reservoir. So, fill the caraf above the amount you want to brew and don't pour the last drop into the coffee maker, just watch the window on the side and pour the extra in the sink. Bottom line, the price is right, it's a good size, makes great coffee, AND the caraf spout pours without dripping. All good!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Attractive Design , But...
Very attractive design and brews a good pot of coffee. Product design, while looking good, is horrible... It is too tall to open the top to the water tank & filter basket without pulling the appliance completely from under most kitchen cabinets. Most awkward. Filling the water tank with the carafe is impossible because of the shape of the upper part of the carafe. Oh BTW... The online description does not mention that the operating instructions warn against using paper filters. Ya think you want to mess with coffee grounds and washing the provided filter basket? Does not brew hot enough
