Closeset thing to a yurt :-)
We bought this primarily for backyard camping but decided to take it on travels to state parks, and to see the stars without light pollution. I would recommend a tarp underneath to increase the waterproof effect. I first saw this tent on my child's overnight school camping trip to Gettysburg & really loved the ease of setting up I had help the first time around but I think it is pretty self explanatory. Nice tent, great for summer, I would not use in snow or cold weather, the top vents are always open!
I will put a blanket over the top next time to keep the cold air in; I wish it had a flap for a window ac unit, I almost cut one, but would change the integrity of the whole tent; I don’t recommend setting it in direct sunlight if the temperature is 90 or above; I had my small window ac unit on a cement block, raised enough to clear the doorway bottom zipper and duct tape the bottom door flap around it and I slept during the 105 degree TX afternoon, but was still sweating because the cold air was escaping threw the top vents; I think if a blanket were blocking the vents it would’ve been perfect. Is somewhat dark during the day inside; With a blanket over the top and in the shade, I think would be perfect in the summer and using ac. My king sized mattress took up most of the tent, I recommend no bigger than a queen.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Less than a month ago july 2021 I gave a short review explaing i just bought the tent saying i liked the price and the looks of the tent that i would be going camping the following week and thats when i said the price ,, & looks were a plus but will it be durable & water proof???.Yes,, it will get 5 stars from me.went to lake arrowhead ,good weather,that day.around 1am the rain came down very hard ,off and on for about 5hrs .at first i was thinking water is sure to come in somewhere,grab my flash lite gave a look up to the sides & around bottom of tent no water anywhere inside so i was glad for that .and went back to sleep thank you .. tommy g,,So,Cal,Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Just what we needed
Got this tent to attend a 3 day music festival and it was perfect. There was a bad storm and our neighbors canopy landed on top of the tent and it came through with flying colors, only one pole was broken and one small tear. There was a small amount of water in it but I believe it would have been completely dry had the canopy not landed on it. LOVE the dark part. Really was nice not to be blinded by the early morning sun. I’ll be getting a replacement pole and recommending this tent to everyone!
