This particular case is a replacement for an earlier unit that was damaged by an accident. I originally bought the Pelican case as rugged protective storage for a special watch and jewelry set that I often carry. Since I work with my hands, I carry the case with me in both my daily carry and overnight bag. It is ideal for this purpose. The best thing is that you can drop the case from normal height in most situations and it will provide excellent protect for the items inside. The case is sufficiently hardened to keep everything intact, and the padding inside will prevent item damage. This is an ideal case for precious objects and those that you want safeguarded from significant wear and tear. A great investment! It is a great stress reliever! When ordering the case, I received it promptly, within 2 days. I was amazed at the excellent customers service!
