    Works well But not a 100% fit

    Installed on a Yamaha 600 grizzly. Both flanges on this carb were larger than oem. The intake side stretched easily. The air filter side required heating the boot and two people to stretch it on. The throttle cable required me to remove the brass throttle cable guide from the old carb and switch it with the new one so there was not too much slack in the throttle cable. Once installed it ran great. The average joe isn't going to be able to do these modifications. This needs to be stated in the ad to prevent confusion.

    Watch how it fits

    This was not a complete exact replacementioned. There were a couple of ports in a different position than the original which I had to reroute hoses and cables for. But after that was done it mounted up prefect, after getting the bowl full of fuel it only took three pulls on the engine to get machine running. After some final adjustments the machine is running just as before.

    Great Running Carb

    The fit wasn't exact. The input air opening diameter was about 10mm larger than original. Had to modify the air intake hose to accommodate the change. The choke is different, but all the parts were included to make it work. It came with two extra jets, don't know why. All of that said, it works great. Started right up. After adjusting throttle and idle, it runs like new. 1999 Yamaha Grizzly 600 Rich in Colorado

    Fair price for an ok carb

    This unit would have been perfect except for the pilot jet that was 15 sizes too big. You must pull the bowl off and compare jet numbers and air screw adjustments. Other than that it worked well. Not for the man who doesn't understand jetting.

    Wow!

    After numerous attempts at rebuilding my mikuni and Yamaha not knowing what jetting I needed to use at 7000+ feet of riding, I decided to start from scratch. I didn't want to pony up the $400 for a mikuni, and stumbled across this Caltric... a quarter of the price, it included 3 different main jets for tuning, and was a direct bolt in with literally ZERO modification. I dropped the main jet one size, knocked the idle mixture cap out and turned it in about 1 1/2 turns from where it was set, installed it and turned the key. It fired right off, idles great, and pulls like a mule now. Lack of power isn't an issue, and fuel consumption is less than that on my wife's machine. I highly recommend this carb, even over a rebuild, for the price. Thank you!

    Good quality part.

    Good quality part. However, this does not fit a Buck 500 EXT/Auto exactly. The buck 500 ext / auto has a smaller carburetor. This one really fits the 650. You can get this carburetor to work, but you will need to retrofit the air filter, intake boot and the top vacuum hose. the intake will need larger (wider) boot for this to work, and the air filter hose will need to be wider as well.

    Not the rite part

    This product was not the right carb for my 07 Polaris outlaw 500 not the 525 . The product was not at all close to the carburator that came from the factory on it.
