I have 2 matching lamps at opposite ends of a sofa. Each has a old style GE 100w soft white bulb. One of the GE bulbs just burnt out. i replaced it with a MaxLite 15w (Same as 100w) bulb. The MaxLite bulb seems to be about equivalent to an old style 75W bulb. Also, the MaxLite bulb has a distinct yellow cast. if you are happy with an about 75w bulb with a yellow cast, this is a good value.
