Works well, a little flimsy, one usability nitpick
This meets expectations - the setup and operation were smooth. The bracket mounting it to my existing Roku remote is pretty flimsy, and flexes to the extent that I worry it's going to pop off, but it hasn't yet. My one design critique: there are two pairs of buttons labelled + - and ^ v - one is for volume and one is for channels, but I can never remember which is which. Great solution for almost any "universal remote" need.
I went to Roku as an input device for YouTube TV. Doing that provides the same user interface for every set in the house. They all work exactly the same. Trouble is, one set has a sound bar that Roku doesn't interface with. Solution? Sideclick controls the sound bar volume/mute. One set has an older Surround receiver that the Roku doesn't interface with. Solution? Sideclick controls power and volume. One set has a newer Surround receiver that the Roku doesn't interface with. Solution? Sideclick controls power, volume and mute. Haven't done so yet, but I can also control a blu-ray player with it, I believe. wide but works well
I bought this unit because my daughter's TV remote control quite working. She had an older oku stick and its remote did not have the functions of a regular remote control. I got it for her and she had no trouble setting it up. It is wider than a regular remote control but is worth it not having to mess around with 2 remote controls.
