These drives replaced others in my stash that I put into customer laptops to speed them up. 32mb cache on these drives makes a huge difference on performance over older 16 and 8mb caches of older drives. I use these drives mostly to make backup image copies of customer hard drives, thus the need for speed. I have been impressed at how peppy they are. The 32mb cache makes a huge difference. The only thing I had to do to them was to run chkdsk, reformat, and a few other tests on them before use because even though they were advertised as new, they both were formatted with Dell Windows 10 images so they were not actually new. But for the price, I can overlook that. They must have come from Dell "C" stock. Overall, I am very happy with them.

What else can I say about ole reliable....WD hard drives are among the best and although I just received this one and only time will tell, I suspect based on my past experience with WD it will be around for many years of use. The drive is fast, runs a bit warm as most 7200rpm drives do.

Really too soon to properly access this drive. Durability and reliability can not be determined for another 2-3 years. This drive boots significantly faster (twice as fast) then my old drive. There appear to be no operational problems. There is one concerning item. Sometimes when the drive is shut down (looses power) there is a sound. The sound is combination of a beep and a chirp. Drive has been in use about 100 hours, 50 power cycles. So far no problems.
