Decent for what it's intended for. But it will barely pull grass up if you don't have a static applicator. And the screens only catch a majority of the grass the rest fly's out the vent holes. I put a mesh like screen in it from a air filter from an a/c. But it looses suction. A small hand held with a hose attachment is much better just get it new and empty when your done and it pulls up the grass way better when again not using an applicator
