Best wire stripper ever
This is an unbelievable tool. I don't know why I hadn't come across this before. Good quality. It doesn't really come with good instructions and you have to figure it out mostly on your own. One control sets the depth and another the length of strip. I liked it so well that I bought another that I really didn't need in case I lost the first one. I find it cuts remaining wire insulation where it grips the wire. It also cuts some copper strands as it strips - A BAD THING! It has a tension adjustment, but you can spend alot of time and waste wire trying to find any sweet spot - if one even exists. Finally, it is really only for right-handed people. Crimper teeth didn't line up. Piece of garbage.
The crimper teeth didn't line up and DESTROYED the lug. The wire cutter didn't cut through the wire I had to use the old simple crimper for that. The only thing this thing does well is the wire stripper but that wasn't good enough and am returning it. Pliers work better than this crimper. Practice With The Little Silver Knob
The key to using this thing is the little silver knob. Once you learn how to use that to adjust for thickness, this works every time, thick wire or thin. It's stiff at first, so persevere.
