  • Everything they say is true

Install on the 4 is pretty easy. Getting the center fan in and out is a slight hassle, but not worth a ding. They claim 250 watts, at 4.4Ghz, 1.24 volts, I'm pulling 235 watts on a 4790k and just hitting 100 degrees while running the small FFTs on P95. With BFV turned up pretty high, I'm seeing 4.4Ghz, 1.1x volts, 115 watts, and 59 degrees. This thing is HUGE. YOOG even. Moved the front fan up a notch, and no problem clearing my Ripjaws with the heat spreaders. Almost don't need an exhaust fan either, the rear of this thing just about backs up to the spot in the case for it, but there is enough room for both in a HAF XB. Overall, my only concern might be the thermal paste, looks like a no name, hopefully you've got some diamond IC laying around.

  • Expensive, but works well

While it is an expensive cooler, there is no denying it works well. Pared with a moderate airflow case, it keeps my Ryzen 2700 at 4 GHz well under 70C under full load even after extended use. In normal use, it keeps the chip around 30C. While the installation of the cooler itself was easy, the fans were rather difficult. the front and rear fans are pretty easy, but getting the top clip on the middle fan is near impossible in the case. If you install the cooler, you must attach all the fans and cooler to the motherboard before you get it in the case. If you don't, there is no room to get the second fan clip on. Beyond that though, it stays whisper silent even under full load. Maxing out the fans in bios makes them slightly audible, but nothing you would even notice in a case. Last consideration is this cooler weights a bit, so I definitely would not recommend moving your PC around a lot with the cooler installed. While it may not negatively affect it, I feel that the cooler could definitely ruin a motherboard if the PC was jolted.

  • One of the best coolers if it is compatible in your system.

Absolute beast in terms of performance and how quiet it is. The black color makes it looks very classy as well. Love the screwdriver that it comes with. Installation process is so much easier. Motherboard and RAM compatibility is very very limited because of how bulky it is. Must take motherboard out of the system when installing.

  • DRP4 doing work

Pros: Astounding cooling performance. Best looking cpu heat sink around. Fairly easy to mount. Makes very little noise. Cons: A tad expensive. Component clearance can be an issue. Fan mounting can be a little fiddly.

  • Dark Rock Pro-4 Cooler Summary

Very quiet cooler-I was hoping for near silence and that is what I received. Straight forward installation. It is a large cooler, once installed I thought the side panel cover would not fit, but it cleared by a 1/4"-be sure to measure to assure clearances. Average temp for a 9900k at roughly 50 degrees.

  • Better than Water Coolers

The Best cooler I ever owned. But your Motherboard needs to be horizontal. Not perched on it's side. Cause this cooler is very heavy. I could imagine it would warp the MO BO. It is cooling an i7 4970K , so temperature spikes are a thing of the past after this is painfully installed. You WILL have to pull your mother Board. Better than Water Coolers.

  • Really quiet, great for any powerful cpu cooling

my ryzen 9 3950x works perfectly, on full load in very hot room (30-32C) does not reach 70C, and most importantly its very quiet, almost non audible even under full load, very happy.

  • Missing Parts

Great CPU cooler, very quiet. The box was missing some installation screws and a bracket from the Intel packet. Luckily you can use the ones for the AMD.
