  • My Head is too small for Sennheiser

PROS: These headphones transmit sound like you are in a movie theater and pick up even the smallest little noise in the background. It's like surround sound, really. Very, very good. I also walk around with them between rooms, which have walls and the sound stays with me. I bought them on ebay (new) and paid considerably less than they would have cost at one of the large stores around here. You can not beat the quality for the price... CONS: Apparently my head is too small for the Sennheiser design. I can not adjust them to fit my head, which isn't particularly small and they tend to slip and slight and sometimes fall off when I am moving while I have them on. They do NOT come with a connecting cable for the TV (buyer be aware) and I have not been able to purchase a cable that fits my particular TV. At that, it still happens to work for me, because I watch just about everything through Netflix or Amazon using my Roku and the cable does connect to that. For folks who want to watch regular TV, you might want to check if there is a cable that works with your TV. I also find them to be somewhat heavy (which is why they deter most of the other sounds around) and my ears get really hot after about 20 minutes of wearing them. I usually have to take them off for a few minutes to allow my ears to cool a bit. I did hear that complaint from other users as well.

  • Great buy! Great product!

I am hearing impaired and these work great. They are a little snug and will give me a headache if I use them for several hours but for 3-4 hours I’m fine. I had no problem hooking them up. I get about 8+ hours out of the battery’s and charge them overnight. By morning they are ready to go. No lag in the audio. Highly recommend.

  • Good head phones, recest earpads, good frequency response, and good volume response

Everything good about it with a couple of exceptions for me. I feel it needs a little bit more on the high end (clarity in upper mids) but I understand why it's not overly bright. If there is too much high one could get hearing damage. Second, a couple times I had a problem with the power supply the head phones weren't connecting to the transmitter. A little jiggle of the power supply and its fine. That's not really a deal breaker either. 3rd, the head phones can seem a little snub but that's ok because the rs120, I wasn't happy with because the ear pads were all foam and it made my ears warm and uncomfortable. These head phones have a recest cup and that's why plus the reptutation of senhieser head phones , clarity and response, that i bought them. But over all the head phones are fine.

  • Good choice but only accomodates 3.5mm phono plug

Works well, i.e., the sound quality and the wireless connection did not disappoint me. The 165 is more than adequate, but the only input type it has is a mini phono plug (3.5 mm). If your device doesn't have a min phone plug output (and few TVs do nowadays) you'll have to buy an adapter -- either RCA plug sound output, or a digital to analog converter and a toslink cable. Fortunately both are inexpensive and widely available.

  • Sen 165

Great product! Third pair I've owned in 18 years. They just keep getting better. Sound is crisper, batteries last longer, easy placement back on the hook for recharging.

  • A fine product

I use these in my shop where machinery noise is a problem. While they have no real noise cancelling tech they are much quieter than the previous brand of 'phones I was using! Sound quality is great, plenty of bass. The 2.4 mghz frequency prevents sound loss and interference as I move around! Plenty of volume and the controls are great. I could wish the range was longer but, for the money, I really have no complaints. I love the fact that it uses standard rechargeable batteries!

  • Movie time!

I live in an apartment and am not able to turn up my entertainment, surround sound system but have always thought that if I went to headphones I would loose the quality but after living in an apartment for over 2years, I decided to give the headphones a try. The RS 165 model is really awesome and the quality of sound is great. Me and my neighbors are very happy. Lol. Many times I forget I even have them on. FYI the RS 175 is a little better in that it has surround sound. I have a pair of each and they will work together on either main base and charge. The battery life is really good too. I have used them for at least 6-8 hours continuous.

  • Worth it!

Very good sound and easy to install. The TV speaker sound can be set very low without affecting the headphone volume. I wish I had gotten them sooner.

  • Difficult to set up, but good sound.

Good sound, easy to use, but I needed a splitter and a converter to make it work with my TV.

  • Easy to sse and better than expected

These headphones don't need to be loud to sound good because in addition to high sound quality they filter out lots of the lower level sounds one has in a house that make it hard to understand dialog. They are very comfortable for longer listening like watching a movie. I find I'm using them more than I expected to, particularly later in the evening when I want to keep the noise level down so my spouse can sleep.
